Mark's sketches are amazing and so beautifully observed. He's one of our local SF urban sketchers. Hey Bill, are you covering tree obsessions? That's my idee fixe... I really enjoy reading your sketch stories, they're always so eclectic.
I’m so grateful that you shared Simmons’s nature journaling too. I’m on the process of organising a science-art competition for schools. That’s a great example that I look forward to sharing with the students.
These are wonderful. Thanks for showing Paul Heaston's work. He's a master vehicular draughtsman. It always blows my mind at how quickly he can bang out those drawings.
I'm of the same 50's vintage; remembering the carefree days before mandatory seatbelts. Dad had a Ford Galaxy 500, and my first car was a 69 VW Bug. For the most part I have fond memories of the earlier cars, without any major crashes. Thanks Bill!
Raised in Motown, so these wonderful drawings really connect. Vrooooom. We made the buggies that tranported California dreams. (I worked in a Detroit transmission plant for three years before emigrating to the Golden State in a '74 Pinto.)
Fabulous theme and cool images, all. Nice to see Bill Russell work in this theme as well!

Thanks Susan. We have the Ford Galaxy 500 in common!

Lovely post makes me want to go draw cars. The psuedo-New Yorker in me still thinks aren't a big deal even after thirty years in CA.
