Fascinating! How did they carry a sufficient quantity of paints and materials for these trips? I wonder if they had ways to make more color on the go..
I'd be curious to know about art supplies as well. I don't think their materials were too elaborate. I'll do some digging.

agree. I do imaginative abstracts when I get bored with landscapes.
